HAMB Drags Photos

O.K. Kids -

A VERY good event this year. LOTS of new cars and people. Bigger - and better than ever, as they say. This thing is really taking on a life of its own. Props to Ryan and everyone else who busted *** to make this another cl***ic good time HAMB event.

I was only able to make it down for the drags themselves, but here are a few quick shots from the track on Saturday. I know there will be MUCH more to come from many others - this is just a preliminary sketch of what the weekend brought, to whet your whistles.

Another try - (sorry, my "Monday morning head" is still trying to get itself awake and sorted out. Check the rear suspension on the "Low Down" car. This thing was full of amazing ideas.

 

Auugghhh- I'm doing something wrong. Maybe another cup of coffee will help.

Meanwhile, a couple HAMBsters. These cars were a HIT! More to come.

Okay - Photos too large. I get it now. Ain't it amazing how well things go when you stop and read the directions first? - LOL

I was so anxious to get some HAMB drags photos posted, I failed to pay attention to the basics. Here's a few more from Saturday - inlcuding the "Low Down" roadster I tried to show earlier. Check out the "trick" rear suspension. Look close!

 

Wow! Axle over the frame. Interesting. Heh. The only reason to C-Notch that ride would be to make it stand taller!

I was as nervous about the Route 66 crawl as the AZ boys were, so me and
Plowboy decided to head over to the Starbird museum.

As we were talking to Daryl someone jokingly mentioned we wanted to dig
through his junk pile to see what he cast off. He replied, sure, just close the
gate behind you so the horses don't get out.

I took one shot at the drags before my little scuffle with Mr. Bones

I tried to take a picture of Mr.Bones then he charged me in a drunken
stumble. Mumbling something about I'm a rock star you poparotzi get away.
and he broke my camera.

I had talked to him at Starbird's when he was posing on the batmobile so I though we were tight, I guess he forgot me.

 

Maybe he thought you were the ***hole revving his car up?

 

Too many people have hit this already, it says you've exceeded the limit for the day.

Well I guess I'll through my pics on here too. Had a blast even in the late model. Talked to a lot of HAMBers but can only remember about half of the names. Even got a couple cookies(nothing like chocolate chip cookies and col' beers)
