Was just thinking about the car collection of Truly Nolan in Tucson. Some may say they were just a rolling adverti*****t for his buisiness. I think that they are a neat part of history for Tucson (spent quite a bit of time there lately).

He did use them as Mobile bulletin boards for his business but I think they were very neat.

Hope someone from Tucson will add to this thread.

    Dave :) ;)

You say he did use them for advertising, isn't he still using them there? I know he is still advertising with some great old cars in south Florida.

Glad you have a great memory of the Truly Nolen antiques. We still have them across the country, but most of them are in Tucson and in SW Florida (where Truly lives). The current count is 98, but it is always changing as we regularly buy and sell these cars. :)

Mr Senner, Thanks for chiming in. I am just fascinated by the cars and how they are strategically placed all over Tucson. I got some pix of his Turgoise '57 Chevy but can't post them. The plastic caps do need to go . . . .

Guy, Here is some more. Is kind of neat that they move them around. I enjoy the "Hunt" to find more "Truly Tin" ! Enjoy . . . . This one is a mid 30's Buick (I think). Would make a neat "Gangster Ride !" . . . .

I see them all over Tucson and have often wondered if they get vandalized or stolen. Are they set up with GPS trackers? Seem logical considering are proximity to the southern border. I have seen a few that would make good hotrod material. Do they all drive or are they just dummied up? I have seen them on a TN rollback around town as well. M. Senner, what is your involvement with the cars?
