The trim, nameplates and such come up for sale everyonce and awhile on Eslay. Otherwise I know of no source for reproduction parts.

You need to find someone in Canada. My dad did years ago and ended up with some nice parts. Some of the parts and grille were nos.

hmmm ok thanks guys. I'll keep an eye out on Kijiji . I guess you never know what might pop up.
We never got Mercury stuff here in New Zealand even though a lot of our American based cars etc were made in Canada.

    Good luck.
I have the same issues with Meteor and Monarch parts.

They seem to be made of unobtainium

  9. Some of the Ozzie "Star" model have the Meteor trim on them FYI as a lot were built in the Oakville Ont plant. The Mercury trucks never made it there I think. The year/body style is different most of the time than the N American versions by a year or two as we used old tooling/parts up. Ozzie 64 Fords have Edsel dash clusters( lots of them spare back then LOL)

A bit of Mercury truck trivia.
    Besides Canada, Mercury-badged
    trucks (Canadian-built and
exported I ***ume) were also sold
in Mexico. And last year, on a trip
to Cuba, I spotted a couple of (I'm
    guessing, also Canadian-built and
    exported) mid-50's vintage M700
'big trucks', still on the road and in
daily use there too. One of the Cuban
    M700's I saw even had a rare
    factory-available Marmon-Harington
    4-wheel-drive conversion package
    still intact and working although
the original Y-block V8 gas engine
was long gone and replaced with a
    (former) East German-built, I.F.A.
    inline diesel truck engine.
