Nice start. Can't wait to see the finished product. Thinking about doing the same chop to my 34. Now you have me convinced.

Looks great...wish mine was that far along. If you can find a pass side 33 34 truck fender if you wont have to fill the spare tire well.

Nice project! I like the 6 carb setup and the style you are going with on the truck.

Thanks for the comments. I have been working on it, but I'm kinda at that stage where I keep putting in time but it feels like nothing is changing. Therefore, it pretty much looks the same now as it did in the older pics. I will post more when there is noticeable progress.

Just a quick update. Got the motor and tranny mounted. I had a hurst shifter to go with the saginaw transmission. After getting it in there, I realized that this was just not gonna work. It put the shifter directly under my right leg. So, I went thumbing through some of my old Rodders Journal's and found the answer. Just mount an early Ford 3 spd shifter on top and fab up everything else. It's taken quite a bit more time than I had planned, but I think it will be worth it. And, so far everything looks like its gonna work. I will get some pics up soon.

Think you'll have this up and rolling to hit some of the local shows this summer? I'll be looking forward to seeing it around town! I never get tired of those awesome model As of yours, brother. You have a great feel for authentic, traditional builds.

First off, thanks for the compliments. I doubt that I will have it on the road by Graffiti. My summer schedule seems to be filling up fast meaning less time in the shop. But, who knows I may surprise myself. I've actually got most of the big parts rounded up but it still needs alot of small stuff and even more time. Here's a pic of the gauge panel for it. This truck seems to be developing a theme. If one carb is good, then six are better. If dual exhaust is good, then four are better. If three gauges are good then, well you get the idea.

Its a Stewart Warner panel off of an old fire engine. If I remember correctly, it's called a Hollywood. I found it here on the HAMB classifieds.
