NOTE: this is not an auburn per se.... its about 1/3rd auburn and 1/3rd motherfriggen DUESENBURG!!!!!! and 1/3rd henney

its a henney he****, as in henney made its own car and it used mostly auburn and duesenberg parts!!!!

the frame, axles, and steering are duesenberg!!!!!
the engine/******, fenders/running boards, lights, dash, are auburn
the body (what little is left of it) is henney

ok i found this 29ish auburn yesterday....just about **** a brick i did. a he**** mind you! i only see 1 auburn he**** on google and thats a 36. never thought in my dreams id find anything like it..... well the plan is to get it this weekend before the ground freezes....
obviously i cant afford to restore it..... a 6 figure car usually takes 6 figures to restore :p
but if you had the money and the balls to hot rod it what you do with it?

p.s. i will get more and better pics of it.

I can not put my finger on it but it looks as though something is missing. :)

I'd gather every last bit of it and create some sort of early-style hotrod....something that some teenager would put together right before the war if he'd been given a trashed '29 Auburn.

or....you could (after you have the entire collection of parts in YOUR possession) contact the A-C-D owners club (Auburn Cord Duesenberg) and see if anyone wants to purchase it from you, then perhaps you could get credit for saving an unusual car, and sufficient cash to do something with a car you DO like.

  8. Like I said before, gather the pieces and advertise it, if it's something that scarce let a big money guy come in for the restoration. You won't retire off it but I bet it brings enough to buy something you can jump right in and drive.

Looks like a six footer car.....needs to be about six foot deeper than it is....

You could build the rest of the missing body out of wood. Make it a woody. The cowl is there. Or sell it to me and i'll do it!

Try the Auburn club, if no luck then hot rod it. give them a try first, it may be a car or parts that is desirable to them.

  19. At first glance thought it was a 27, but I am no Auburn expert and in this condition it is hard to tell.

I see a slammed, chopped, full fendered '29 Auburn sedan delivery in your future. Put a ford insturment cluster in it.

Shorten the wheelbase, and use the pieces to make a sedan delivery That is, of course if you are unable to get a decent price out of it from the resto crowd.

Not much there...I'd let the resto crowd fight over the remains.
