3,000 miles. 12.5 mpg pulling the trailer. I'll let you do the math, but it was worth whatever it cost. We did the Blue Ridge Parkway, had a blast, only broke down once, didn't drive off the edge (like one wadded up sports car we saw being winched up the mountain), or drive into the side of a mountain (like the semi tractor we saw burned to the frame), so it's all good. There's something wonky with my pictures, I can't figure out how to re-size them, so click on the link in the signature line to see what fun we had!
Nice pics and great stories! I always wonder when staying at Wally world how the night parking lot sweeper/cleaner can get so close to our RV and not hit it! Sure keeps you from sleeping for a couple of hours. Thanks for sharing your trip.
Thanks for the pics Brian. Glad that you enjoy the tin woody so much. The wife and I did a 5,000 mile trip through Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, etc. this summer in our '32 Ford Roadster. The memories will last a lifetime. BTW, you're the one who inspired me to do the woodgraining myself on my '51 Chev Tin Woody. Thanks for the "how to" via email. I changed the process up a little but I'm happy with the results. Regards, Al
