What were on that gold 59 ElCamino?? Sombreros?

    It looked MAGIC!!!!!!

  2. When a 60 Chevy was new, it was at the end of the wide whitewall era.
I think they used a wide white, but about 2 1/4" or so, not the old 4"
"gangsterwalls". Most any of those older style "flipper" or "spinner" covers should look fine. Dodge Lancer of 57-58 variety look like this......

Here's an aftermarket copy of the 59 Dodge Lancer cap...........

    65-67 Chevy spinners are 14"

Use Google or look for caps on ebay......there are usually all kinds
    available there.

You got that right. Back in my day (60-61) 14s, 57 or 59 pointers
and one coil cut from the front made you "King Turd" !!!!!!! LOL

Man I like the way the Polara's look. I will probaby go with those, if I can find a shiny set in 14". I need to get tires first though, so that is gonna be my x-mas gift. I cleaned the old girl yesterday and put the stock caps on, and I think it looks pretty nice.

I will try to paint the wheels before I get the new tires on, that way I will have other options as well.

OK Kelvin: I was thinking....if you considered 15" rims you would double the possibilities. Mitch

It should be a law that all '60 chevys have a torque thrust type wheel. Supremes are WAY overdone and about to be played out like 100 spokes. I agree that the nova/corvair wire caps would look killer. You can snap the centers out and dnap them into a deep dish trim ring from 80's cutlass rally wheels, it gives them an awesome reversed look. I had a '60 2dr post that I ran those on and it was killer.

'63 Impala hubcaps would also look good on it. (The non-ss type)

I had a black one with a 348 then added 62 era 409, (off message) I had red wheels with lancer hubcaps. Also ran the Plymoth "cones" for awhile. I won a lot of street races with the single carb 409. Looked like a 348...
