Sellin all this stuff has gotten me thinking about what I would still buy if I found one

Moline Comfort Tractor wouldbe close to the top

    Studebaker Coupe Express near too

But most of all I think I'd like another Mercer

These cars were the Rods of their day!

Very quick and unlike many early cars a real pleasure to drive.

    So what do you dream-a-find'n ? :)

Maybe a fellow HAMB'r know where one is sittin just waiting for you.....

  2. A 4-71 SBC intake!!! I can't find one anywhere!!! I know you are thinking on a grander scale :)

  3. I'm thinkin' along the lines of a Rollin' Bones style car or maybe enough cash to finish my already backed up list of projects! HRP

  4. 1936 coupe

    1956 Jaguar XK140 FHC

1969 Trans Am (just to beat the hell out of)

    swdobbs...

  5. A 700hp BBC for under 5k...

    Sam.

  6. A pair of Enderle Barn doors that I could afford would be right at the top of my list. Afford = cheaper than cheap.

An Anglia and or a Topolino are running a close second to that.

I assume you mean what would I buy, that I could afford, if I found one? I'd be sorely tempted by a '63 Olds Jetfire coupe. My dad had one when I was a kid-215 turbo'd aluminum engine-1 HP/cubic inch in a family car. Never did run right-Olds mechanics had no clue apparantly how to get the turbo right. But it would scoot and my dad's an ex-Navy fighter pilot. He did,and still does, drive like he flew.:)

'51-'52 Packard 2-door sedan, for a lowered cruiser
'40 Ford convertible, for a novel custom
'60 Ferrari Pininfarina coupe (250GT), just because

...but I've spent my allowance for the next several years, so none of these are gonna happen unless I sell off some of the fleet.

    A Kraft Former I could afford. ( and/or a nice big Shrinker...)

    A FED project I would fit in ( 6'2" ).

A Mk1 Ford Capri to build fat fendered Group5 Street Car out of ( or a stepnose Alfa Romeo GTV Veloce for the same thing..)

What he said cept maybe I'd even go for a blind back sedan so I could drive it in peace without every bastard in town buggin me with "What are ya gonna do to it?"

    Or a Continental.

    Of the Bentley brand....

(I don't have to actually have enough money to pay for them, do I?)

on the afford list would be a big set of oxy/acet bottles, maybe a tig if the price was right.

on the can't afford list would be a db34 BSA goldstar or a TT special triumph. I came across a TT special about four years ago for 3500 that I should have bought (it needed a lot of work)....oh well.

A '57 Chevy Bel Air 2 door hardtop. A 49 or 50 Merc would run a close second.

I'll even tell which T head MERCER I want if i had the chance & funds. This 1913 lived in my town since new, just one street over from where I live. It sold at auction in the mid 1960's for $15,100. I took this photo when I was 10 years old the car still gets to me whenever MERCER is mentioned. I have some miles behind the wheel of an L head Raceabout but I'm way overdue for seat time in a T head!:D

I like blind back and leather back A sedans too. Never understood why they aren't super popular; they're much better looking than the town (?) sedan.

WELL hindsight being 20-20 i would buy stock in e-bay when it was dirt ass cheap and noone was using it.

but for now i would be really satisfied with a super clean unrusted pure southern arizona 36 5 window ford

    and some felix chevrolet colectables....

a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow???????:D
