Meeting at the McDonalds on Central, S. of Indian School Rd @8:00. Leave @ 8:30 and cruise to the top of South Mountain, then go your own way or hang out.
Nick had a damn good idea there! I left Hot Rod Rick a messege to do one of his famous "Texts to everyone on the planet" as well.
Kind of last minute, but should be more fun then waiting around and being told not to eat... Lets spread the word and have us a little Turkey day fun!
Damn kids, I have been around your city just enough to visulize that cruz. Wish I was there doin it with ya all. Have a blast! ~sololobo~
Damn gang, That was fun!!! You kow what I'm most thankful for right now? You guys! My friends!!! Great idea Nick, and I hope it becomes a yearly deal. Another tradition I will start next year is remembering to bring my camera! That way Nick won't have to wade through 1.7 million photos of my dogs and three of the run... Judy may not speak the best english, but boy does she **** as a photographer!!!
Sounds like everyone had a good time. Maybe we can set something up for early Christmas or New Years morning?
Everyone arriving/arrived at McD's at Central and Indian School. Headed south on various roads towards our destination. Arrival at the summit, and the spirited goat *#$&# that was parking.
The view: NICK IS DEAD: not really. Nice...........Rock.......... Nice Rock. Thanks big time for the invite guys. What an awesome thing to be part of when so far from family. Chip, I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm thankful for such awesome new friends. Special thanks to Nick for inviting me to an awesome Thanksgiving dinner. That was a great Thanksgiving.
What a perfect Thanksgiving. I vote we do it again next year. And even though Judy did take 53 pictures of the dogs, 3 pictures of the sun visors, and 2 of the floor, she did manage to capture this little gem. There were some last minute schnenanigans....
Great idea Nick, looks like a good time, I have always loved that drive. Hope I can make the next one.
I stole some of Bodi's pics and mixed in a few of Judy's and made a little slideshow if you guys want to check it out.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlNdrHgNlBE Sure wish I could figure out how to embed these video thingy thing things....
I need to get my number out to the right peeps for gatherings like this. Tired of missing all the good times.
Mine is at the bottom of every post I make and you are always welcome to use it! What do you guys think about a run out to Greasewood flats in far northeast Scottsdale soon for a burger night?
Looks like that little impromptu gig was a blast. I'm sorry that I missed it. I spent the first half of my Thanksgiving day replacing the water pump in my '61 Chevy wagon. Then I had a huge Thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of friends in central phoenix. A very good day.
That is just plain awesome! Man I love these little get togethers, and a great selection of rides. The Chevy suburban and delivery are smokin. And of course being a Chevy c-10 pick up owner I love the c-10 there. I see it has a deluxe steering wheel and radio, I also notice it has no heater controls and a single knob where they usually go, heater delete? The pups were havin a great time too, cool deal kids, thanx for sharing. ~sololobo~
The chevy suburban belongs to my good buddy Ron Olmstead and his lady Jan. They are the older couple in the picture with Judy and I and the dogs. The C10 is Bodi's.
Wow... South Mountain Park! It must be close to 40 years since I last made that drive. We used to go up there every 4th of July and spend the day. Sometimes, I really miss living there. Thanks for sharing the pictures...
Deffinatly was nice and warm weather. Thanks for the invite and a fun morning. See some of you tomorrow
