    Hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving. Here's a 35 Ford I did a while back and your friendly Triple A truck. Water colors.

    Photoshopped out the background and tried to emulate salt (Ohio froozen wet snow)... on my list to re-do when I get some real salt flat pics)... meanwhile enjoy the carbs!

    And a shoot for Raydar Magazine. Sue and her lovely roadster and bike. Built by herself and Beanie of Buckland Automotive from a flat packed pile of ****, the A just rules.

    I've been a lazy lurker for a while, trying to rectify that now. I decided to do a series of pen sketches combining photos I've taken at local car shows with photos I've taken of local architecture to see if I come up with any good ideas for paintings. Here's the first one;

    [IMG]

    Done quickly, straight to pen less than an hour so the proportions and perspective are far from accurate but if gives me an idea of the composition. Hopefully I'll have a couple of these to share every week, and eventually a painting!

  6. Wow- Lovin' the show, this page's posts are crackin' good. Janne, the gouache suits the worthy subject with a super harmony.

    It's early, 06:00 Sat. here, I'm about to go to an old wrecking yard. Oooh yeah!
    For the last few hours it was too hot to sleep, so I messed with this Falcon again.
    I promise not to post any more improvements!

    I really like these! I like how you gave the circle burner the feeling of being in the heat of action without fleshing out his compe***ors. The character in the welding truck is great.

  22. Wow, super nice Mike, what method do you use for this stuff - software, hand drawn, or...? Nice to see you on the forum. Saw your truck in Welland, nicest AD yet.

    My humble contribution- My first tank mural circa 1977 for a friend based on a tattoo on his skinny arm. Done with lacquer paint, a little india ink and a badger single action airbrush.
