A friend of mine trawls Argentina for treasures and imports them to Germany. However these must be his nicest finds yet.

The single seaters are Ford based. There are 4 in total all in various states of completion. I think they're all abandoned projects. I saw one of the completed ones at his barn last week and it was beautifully built.

The Lincoln coupe is just sitting outside and the Model-A compresser looks like it was photographed in the fifties but it's actually a recent find. All of them are still sitting in Argentina. Now I'm just kicking myself I can't afford just one of them. I think I'd go for the Ardun equiped single seater!

Wow what a find. I would like to know the history of these projects.

Did your friend manage to purchase the cars?

I don't know, but if not he can. He's got a huge barn load of stuff not 20 miles away from me and loads more in Argentina. If I didn't know the guy was straight up, I'd call scam, but he's a serious man, I've known for years. I've restored a couple of frames he's imported. If anyone is seriously interested, PM me.

potentially a Reklus replica - as shown here in Germany on the Techno Cl***ic fair?

This company is located in Argentina and builds various replicas using old parts and new bodies.

Remember "pur sang" in Argentina even does Bugatti replicas - some of them are so good even brand experts cannot tell them from real Mulhouse stuff: http://www.pursangweb.com/
There is also a Cunnnigham around here: http://www.fomcc.de/gallery/dyck2007/dyck200705.html

Thanks for the links ventilo. There is a whole cottage industry of small shops replicating historic race cars and Specials - here's another -

That car pictured is the very one my friend has in his barn right now together with the Alfa Romeo replica race car on the left and the blue Talbot Lago on the right. All 3 are for sale in Germany right now.

There's an amazing HAMB friendly car industry in Argentina just bursting to get out. Why the 4 single seaters are not being completed I don't know. However this post isn't about these successful small replica companies, it's about 6 uncompleted orphans which have been discovered. 4 incomplete replica racecars, one with an Ardun, another with a V12, about a 37 Lincoln coupe standing out in the open and a supercharged Model-A.

What are the natives thoughts on him exporting those cars? Even if they are recreations they are incredible.

Nice workmanship. As long as they are sold as replicas and not being p***ed off as actual race cars I can't see anything wrong with them. Bob

I could care less about replica race cars, but the Ardun and the other vintage tin are things of beauty.

Yes it's amazing what the heck went on back in the day...I wonder where they ended up after getting to Germany...

It also speaks of the Global talent pool which exists from years of Continental Racing...it was big business...

Hey @ratamahata note this quote from Edward below from 2012...

"There's an amazing HAMB friendly car industry in Argentina just bursting to get out."

I believe that sort of has a connection to you and your shop as You fellas are becoming quite the force down there...

I wish good health to you and the family...

Always great to hear from You...;)

Sorry man I feel Dumb...:D...I made those thumbnails bigger and as they were so tiny...I re-posted them not realizing they were already restored and finished...Ed Posted them in 2012 and Ventilo posted them in 2012 soon after but I don't see the V12 one though...Well they're done and gone I suppose for huge dollars...but again I believe they came from Argentina...and I hope you liked the Fine Raw aluminum and exotic Ardun and V12...I sure did...:)
