yes, linked below. I can save you some time finding a straight car with a ***le, most of the expensive parts done.
I just picked up a 54 for 400 bucks and drove it home. didnt stop to well. ive love these cars since watching Motorcycle Mania as a kid.
53. I like the curvier aestheic of the grille and the kinda 'sharkmouth' shape. I like the 53 back lights too... a little bit of bullet, but not too much... but if I had a 54, I'd be gunning for the other team probably
I have to go with 54's. When I was a kid the guy across the street had a black and white 54 bel air with a split exhaust manifold, chrome slots and firestone wide ovels. (this was the mid-late '70's). His son, a friend of mine, still has the car. PLUS, I now own a '54.
1953 radio is different than 54 thi color of the blinkeres r different in the dash are 53 are white 54 are green bumpers are different tail lights head lights motor front fenders are different and most of all the years are different I have a 53 hardtop with 54 frenched head lights and tail lights in the works with 54 fenders and bumpers front and back 54 one piece tail lights 54 grille pictures in my thread happy hoidays from nebraska
I rather have either one dropped off and placed in my garage asap! Seriously though, you can't go wrong with either one.
I have always liked the 53 coupe and thought i would never find one......But lo and behold one came up for sale in my area so i snapped it up and this is what i have today. I like the desoto grill. and the colors were the brainstorm of my youngest son.
I've had both a couple of times. 2-54 210s, 1-54 hardtop and 2-53 coupes. Either works but I notice I'm taking longer looks at 53s..so I'll say 53.
'53 or '54 Chevy, I really like them both. I am not loving '53 taillights, and I hate '54 headlight bezels ( I use '53 rings on my '54 ) I dig hardtops or post. The more expensive Bel Air or the cheap 210 model like mine. The fact is I was looking for a '53 or '54 Chevy OR even a '49-'51 Ford. I bought the nicest car I could afford and I just happen to find the '54 first. My '54 sits now, frame off and in a thousand pieces, but I did find a '50 Ford coupe I am driving while my '54 waits for me to get back in it.
