I bought this SW style 5 gauge engine turned panel from FPM metals to go in my 32 dashboard

I didn't realize it but it is just a flat panel and I think it needs a trim around the perimeter of it. I asked them if they make one for it and they don't.
I tried looking for one everywhere but came up with nothing.
So, anyone have any good ideas of how to make a trim ring to go around it? I only have hand tools so machine work is not going to happen.

Don,there is a piece that mirrors the look but it has a lip built in and the machined piece just lays on top and is held in with the gauges. HRP

Do you know where I can find one? I have looked and can't find anything.

What about carefully s***ching in some steel brake line formed to surround the panel. A little mud to blend it in, paint the dash and then drop that engine turned panel in the middle of that. That could look nice with less difficult fabrication if desired

Another option for a quick and easy would be to go to your local body supply store and look at various door edge guard that could go on the outside edge

Neither of these would be as good as full on fabrication, but both would be options to get you there from here.

I like that. I will give that some consideration but I would still prefer to have the raised trim around the edge if I can. Thanks

That one is $109.95 and may not be a perfect match size-wise to the machine-turned piece Don already has at a cost of $99.00. The better option might be for him to return what he has and get the complete unit for $169.00.
