Full Fendered Model A Tire size?

I have a Hiedts front end with 1" narrowed arms. Anybody tell me the best tire and wheel size for the front? I bought 15x 4"ers with skinny VW type tires but thinking I really should go wider and taller. 17's on the rear.

 

Fronts: 15x5 165's, changed the front off set 3/8 inch to get the tire right in the middle of the front fender. Rears: 15x8 235 75 series. Works for me.

 

5.60x15" bias ply on 5" wide rims would work nicely.. And for the rears you might try 8.20"s on the same 5" wide rims....

 

6.00 x 16" front. 7.00 x 16" rear.

These are approximately what I am using but I was hoping to go a little wider. What's the sense of a polished stainless independent front suspension with a chrome sway bar if we are to use VW tires? Oh yeah it looks great!

 

6.00x16 was what I was told.

That is what I was thinking along with how much drop he had on the axle and if the eyes on the spring were reversed.
