At 2:10 a.m. a fellow hamber and my best friend went to be with the Lord. Dave was mostly a lurker, but he loved Caddies, guns, open wheeled racing and air racing. He had the old vintage radial engine pistons screen printed for the Hamb drags a few years back. I think Ryno won one of them. The world will be a worse place with out him. RIP Brother Dave. Sorry to hear of your loss Chris. Dave and his family, as well as you, will be in my prayers. Hang in the bro. Steve
Terrible news. Sorry for your loss Roothawg. He was one cool cat. I spent half the night talking with him at the hamb drags the year he made that radial piston trophy. In fact, that night we agreed to make a trade. I sent him an old nice blue swirly gl*** shift knob in trade for one of those NOS radial pistons like the one he used for that trophy. I've got it hanging next to the door going into my house. I hang my jacket on it. He even included a cool aviator sticker I have on my tool box. RIP Prop Strike..... can't believe it.
Root, sorry to hear of this. Yes I did win the radial piston at the hamb drags in 05? I think it was. Got 2 nd place in the poker run with lil mike. I really cherish that piece ,it's in my office and I look at almost everyday, but if it needs to be shipped back to you for merriories of your dear friend ,just say the word. Think of it as a pay it forward deal.
That's sad news, Roothawg. I'm sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers to you and Dave's other friends and family.
Thanks guys. Ryno, he made me one that year. Ryan has the other one, so there are 3 total. Thanks for the offer though.
