Shoebox Ford- "Door Lock" Help!

What has been your experience; finding/buying the "door lock" ***embly? ( cylinder/key /long rod)

I need them for my 50 Ford.

* I was told the ones advertised by big catalogue people are advertized as 49-51 BUT actually do not fit all years as advertized.
Each year I was told takes different part, not all same!

What have you experienced-where did you buy yours?

 

I was never able to find them new for my 51.

 

I have a set you can have no key though but most locksmiths will have no problem re keying them. Pm me if interested.
