Gold line tires with that color combo would be killer. Leave the red lines for the GTO's

    Current Corvette ***** here too.....

Very nice car....my girlfriend has a neighbor with a one owner 66 or 67 vette with about 23,000 miles on it....its a 327-340?HP (I know its less than my 327)....I think it scored 97 at a NCRS judging...he never drives it...or he hasn't in the last 12 years.

I park my vette at my girlfriends and he says he can hear me coming long before entering the sub-division...says mine is one of the best sounding vettes he has heard....gives me the big head.

Forgot.....I would go with the redlines....with that contrast, will make that gold pop....and that is what you want.

Congrats on the find! I grew up riding in the back of my dad's and one of his buddies mid-60's corvette coupes and would like to have one someday.

  11. id love to own avette someday my personnal favorites are the 68-73's but my wont ever be able to afford ones are the 63-67's especailly the stingrays im not big on restoring if it were mine id throw some torque thrust (grey centers) or cragar s/s's 15x 8 in rear 15x6 in front on it and some raised white letters i dont concider wheels and tires modifying just giving it a personnel touch

but since you asked id put either gold lines or twin white lines (if you can find them)on it

    congrats on a nice find

Very cool vette! I think deep down most all hot rod guys dig Corvette's, but won't admit to it.

My bucket list inculdes a 1965 Corvette Coupe...Marina Blue w/ blue interior, SBC ,automatic, with air.......we can all dream!

Thanks for all the comments. I promised the former owner the first ride as soon as I have it back on the road. She only lives about a mile away from me too. Appreciate the comments on which tires to run with the torque thrusts too.

Had my dad run to the DMV this morning and get the ***le transferred. I'm officially a member of the ***** club:D. Can't wait until Saturday to bring it home.

Model A? I'm surprised they had any Corvette engines left from all of the transplants into rusty Chevy pickups and Caprices. The way I figure it, there must be about a half a million Corvettes sitting somewhere without engines in them any more.

I'm temped to buy a Corvette, just so I can buy junkyard 350's and 305's, throw them into the Vette, and then sell the engines as "Came out of a Corvette."

Seriously though, that's a beautiful car. Congratulations on your new car.

Cheater slicks and the plain black steel rims for that sleeper look. Yup, that's what I'd do with it.

I just thought I couldnt even pick up chicks if I had a Corvette.
Nice persistance. Gold lines. Just a little red pinstripe.

Sam it is a 95 & I believe the color is deep purple metalic. I made some mesh grilles for the fender openings. Click on the last pic to view them. Nice car cruise @ 70 mph & 30 mpg. Can't beat that.

Nice car from a former *****. Looking to become one again depending on how the 2014's look/feel.

I would vote for black walls with the torqthrusts. More of what would have been done in the day l think.

Rockfish what power plant is in that beautiful jewel? Nothing wrong with blackwalls if you got the balls.

Not sure what motor is in it right now. I'll check the numbers when I get it home this weekend. Wasn't too concerned once I knew it wasn''t the original motor. If the motor is a turd I've got a rebuilt small block with aluminum heads sitting on a stand in my garage so that may be the way I go. Maybe with 3x2 intake.

Nice car. Tough choice, so I'd run gold lines on the right side and red lines on the left.

Red-lines and repop spinners, the ones that kinda look like turbine rotors. Love the C2's.

Nice to see someone actually get a car after so long. Too often it happens for the worse...you know, "The widow's daughter got sick of looking at it and sold it on Craigslist before I ever knew it".
