I have seen banjo rears with what look as if the axel tubrs just bolt on the quickchange. Anyone know who sells them, and is it worth the time and $. I am running a flathead eventually. Just curious. Thanks fellas

  2. Is this what you are referring to?

Designed so you don't have to change the whole side bell if the axle tube gets bent. Probably not necessary on the street.

Thats nice, but I have seen where its just the center section. And completely stock looking axel tubes..The housing that bolts to the center is not aluminum...You can send that to my house though...LOL

I take it you mean the axle tubes bolt onto the quick change the same way they bolt up to the stock Ford center section?

You've probably seen the old Halibrand QC's. I think Halibrand still makes 'em. Winters Performance makes a nice one too. Speedway is a distributor.

I like the smaller unit on catelog page 7. But...the sky is the limit. Use the larger "torino" flanges" to put BIG Ford brakes on.

Here's a Halibrand V8 that's slipped into a '40 read. These were sold as kits back in the day to bolt right in your original rear.

I have built several QC's with the 40/48 axle tubes. Here is a photo of my most recent.
