Ay Guys, I'm going to start building a 50 shoebox. The dash is missing found one online but the guy say it from a 50 Ford Woody and says it may not fit. Does anyone know if its true?

  2. I believe that woody dash will not fit your shoebox Ford.....
the Woodies used a Mercury body unit actually unlike the Ford sedans and coupes.

If you weren't so far away, i'd give you one but the shipping would kill you.

  5. 49-50 Coupe Sedan and Convert or model 72, 73, 76 dash part number is 8A-7004320-HP. Woody wagon or model 79 for both 49-50 is part number 8A-7904320-B. Definatly a different dash board.

There is one on Ebay right now for $195, which might seem steep but another guy is trying to sell a bare dash for $ 180.

We aren't allowed to list Ebay ads, but just put in 1949-50 Ford dash and you will find it on page two.

UPS wouldn't be all that bad, I have shipped similar items and I am guessing maybe under $60, probably more like $45.

  9. Have you checked the shoebox site ? Most eBay car part sellers are dreamers, I have been a seller on there for 15 years, but don't sell car parts.

You can get inexpensive shipping from Fastenal. Its cheap because they only ship from their store to their store and you go pick it up.

I think I recall people being scolded for posting Ebay links on here. Just didn't want to get in any hot water. :) Something about advertising not being allowed on the main board, I think.
