I just got off the phone with my dad, he called to give me the news. To say I am saddened is an understatement.
I grew up hanging around his shops, and hanging out with Bob and Marcia at all the local shows. So many memories, but none more to be made. So sad about this.
Rest in Peace my friend. All my best to Marcia and their boys.
    I will miss you Bobby.

He owned my old '40 coupe when it was orange and flammed long before I owned it. He told me once that to him the '40 was just a hotrod and beat on it mercilessly. So did everyone else who owned it including me.
    RIP,Bob.

We've used a few of his top kits and I've had one on my '32 2dr for the last 10 years, still tight and waterproof as the day I installed it. RIP Bob, you made a contribution to our hobby/obsession and I'm sure there are a lot of sad hot rodders at the news of your passing.

  24. Hi, this is Marcia Juliano. Thanks for all of the kind words that have been posted for my husband. In case anyone is interested, the obituary follows. Robert fought a two year battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and was taken from us way too soon.

Robert A. Juliano, 61, of Ellington, beloved husband of Marcia L. (Elliott) Juliano, died peacefully Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born March 1, 1951 in Hartford, son of the late Salvatore J. & Bernice A. (Weingroff) Juliano. Bob grew up in Manchester, attended local schools and graduated from Manchester High School with the Class of 1969. Bob began his career in the auto upholstery business, soon expanding into auto body repair at locations in Vernon and Ellington. He was the owner/operator of Juliano’s Interior Products of Ellington and was widely recognized in the hot rod industry for designing and producing new and innovative products that are used by specialty vehicle enthusiasts worldwide. He was a member of the National Street Rod Assn., Goodguys Rod & Custom Assn., AACA and SEMA. Bob was a past president and coach for the Ellington Little League and Ellington Youth Basketball. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his two sons, Brian R. Juliano of Somers, Jeffrey M. Juliano of Ellington, two brothers, David W. Juliano and his wife Patricia of Wallingford, Richard J. Juliano of Stafford Springs and brother-in-law Jack Stein of Manchester, aunt Mildred D'Ambrosio of Wethersfield and uncle Seymour Weingroff of Newington (formerly of Glastonbury). Other survivors include Marcia’s family, father-in-law Thomas H. Elliott of Melbourne, FL., sister-in-law Elaine P. Bujak and her husband Robert of Somers, brother-in-law Barry T. Elliott and his wife Roberta of Del Mar, CA. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Melissa A. Juliano and sister Judith K. Stein. Funeral services will be private with burial in Ellington Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, the family asks that you "Pay it Forward" by perfoming a thoughtful and meaningful act of kindness. In doing so, the positive impact will make a difference in the world as Bob's life on earth has made to all of us.
