Found this little gem online and brought her home last night. It's a '31, all original running gear, southern CA car. Number on the block match the vin, etc... Running boards are all steel original, headlight buckets and lights are original. Someone started to repair the section between the firewall and the door, other than that, it's all original steel and has very minor rust, if any. Now to deconstruct it and turn it into a 'rod.
I'm going to try and keep it relatively simple. Lower it, wide whites, maybe run the 4 banger for a while. We'll see, still putting a plan of action together.
yep el cajon is where im at. If ya need help with the banger let me know. Old cars and parts in santee has most things youll need on hand.
Yeah, well glad I could help just don't ask me anything else about car's, thats all I know!! Honest! But hell I know the best ways to dispatch an adversary with a blade, even the best ways depending on blade length!..........That reminds me, I have to go see my neighbor about all that noise at night. Can't understand why he doesn't like it?? Doc.
Nice little Roadster you have there, I'll be looking forward to the updates. Dont mind Doc, after all, he's crazy enough to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
I'll be the first and maybe only one to say, don't cut this one up, it's too good to be rodded. I know, I know, you're rodder's but Jesus, that's too good to cut up. God I wish I lived where rust is almost nonexistent.
I don't think I'd have the heart to cut that up. I like rods, but have a warm spot in my heart for vintage antiques as well. Ken
I don't plan on cutting it up... Just get the 4 banger running, lower it down, change the wheels and tires and have a nice little roadster to cruise around in. At least for now
Good choice, she does look really nice. I'm sure it will put a smile on your face when you're out running around.
