naw, i think restore or hot rod. es*** are too cool for neon paint and sbc's. the plan i have for my 27 es*** is 55 hudson twin h 308 with hydromatic. no chop, orig fenders, hornet rear, and paint, i not sure yet.

Do you have any pics of the whole car from the side and or front? Man that thing is square.

No channel, just a good chop and make it a hot rod not a street rod...jmo.

The roofline leaves a lot to be desired. So, if it was mine, I'd make a two door phaeton out it.

add wire wheels, keep the fenders, and power it with something that is not a small block chevy (hell...put a little Japanese 4 banger in it.)

You need to sell that. Its too boxy for a rod. Channeled and no fenders would look like a home made casket on wheels.:p

That needs to go to the restorer crowd.

i sure wouldn't sell it if it was mine. looks to be in pretty good shape for age. if you end up changing out grille shell pm me i need one, maybe a few other things too. i'm sure someone will need the fenders too. good luck whatever you do.

  18. That has to be a backyard built body. Looks a bit to simple for a factory body.

You should trade me the Es*** rails for some nice rectangular tube.

If you're going to butcher it, I need those rails to go under something 'respectable'...

why not get going on it you can always chop it later. just decide on frame and get started, it might take on a life of it's own and the fickle finger of fate will point you in right direction.
as far as people giving you ****. lot's of people like to do that to new people on here. they only thing they like more is new people who do something nontraditional. then if you act like it ruffles your feathers, they will keep poking you with that stick. maybe some advice might be just take what you like, ignore the rest, and do lots more reading on here. if you find out you don't like it move on, if not stick around. i say good luck and i hope to see your es*** on the road!
