We have just started the restoration of a 1964 Impala. This is going to be a full on factory correct restoration, so we need all the info on correct bolt colors, as well as correct colors for all the chassis components. Are there any restoration books out there for 63-64 impalas with this information? I know they have books like this for Mustangs...I've searched with no luck so far.

348-409.com would be a great resource.

There are probably resto boards somewhere, that specialize in these cars.

Hot Rod boards might not be the best source for OCD resto info.

This is what you want. Available from any Chevy restoration parts store. A shop manual will tell you how to repair a Chevy but this is the manual that told the assembly line people where each and every bolt went on all the accessories on different body styles. I bought a 66SS 396 Chevelle convertible that was in pieces along with another disassembled Chevelle convertible for a pats car I could never have figured out which was which with out this manual. You will be amazed at how the different accessories changed how a car was assembled at the factory. If you want to add a rare accessory this will show how it was put together at the factory.
