Just outta curiosity, what were Chrysler early hemis painted from the factory? Not Dodges, not Desotos, but Chrysler's. Any early hemi experts reading this thread?

I like a body color match on a car like this too. So, I'm thinkin' if the car isn't going to be painted for a while, paint the block green with the right cylinder head in red, and primer grey valve covers.

Seriously, I like hemi's in black with as much shiney stuff as you can possibly muster up.

Black dissipates heat, GOLD is cooler!

That thing will be badass any color....But I think gold would look purty cool........

  9. MrRich, Do you still have your website going with all your cool altered wheel base stuff? You have built some bitchin' stuff in the past and I am sure this will be no exception. Will this be a injected car? I hope so. Keep us up to date. I suggest painting this car in the "Hotrods to Hell" paint scheme. Motor does not matter to much. Paint it red with chrome valve covers. Can't go wrong.

  10. Vette with a Hemi ...... any color... it's still bad ass!

I vote black car with silver interior and a silver motor.

Find a picture of a black 64 Vette w/factory silver interior. Might take some searching as they're pretty rare.

Please don't paint the engine body color unless it's black. That's so 1980's, or was that the 1990's...

Thanks for the props. I let the website go, but I'm still building cars just not as pretty as they used to be. The money pretty much dried up in this. The car is getting a two port Hilborn on a 671 blower. I'm sorting out the clutch though now, I'll update soon

  12. Alright, But what about my idea for the Hotrods to Hell paint scheme? It would blow folks away.

I hate to say but color and heat relate if the energy is coming from a light source. White has a very low emissivity and black or a "black body" is an emissivity of one. how much heat a an object gives off depends on the different in temperature and how much energy it can store a "specific heat" quantity.

So go for whatever color you want but i like the looks of the white hemi.

Stay Gold! MrRich you build some bitchin cars, I dig it! Big fan of the Pontiacs you have been building. Love to have a Tempest altered car. Keep on building killer cars!
