I had the honor of meeting Ed in person twice. Had this "Rat Fink" done on my '51 trunk in his honor, I think he would approve.
Too bad about him not leaving the Rat Fink to his kids. Seems like everyone else use's it when ever thay feel like it. I read an article that quoted Roth as saying that when he became a Mormon he became ashamed of the Rat Fink as he felt that it had helped to lead the youth of his time astray. I think he softened that position later on in his life. All I know is that the man was a great artist as was Von Dutch and others.
