A red 40 Deluxe coupe for 11K US, my wife would sell me and the dog both for that. She has wanted one of those ever since she followed one all over the fairgrounds at the Street Rod Nationals in Tulsa in 1973.
Waiting to see if the seller accepts your offer. hmmm-hmmm-hmmm-hmmm-hmmm...........fingers tapping.......... hmmm-hmmm-hmmm-hmmm-hmmm...........another cigarette....... hmmm-hmmm-hmmm-hmmm-hmmm...........brow sweating........
I would gladly convert it to LHD. Not only it must feel weird....., you look like a freak on the wrong side of the car.
Good luck on your offer. I enjoyed my time I Argentina. Except for that big ***ed speeding ticket I got on my way up to Concordia.
One thing to remember about Argentine vehicles is that they could not import parts after 1950. Consequently there was a lot of third world engineering that went into repairs . Some guys were clever, some were bad. I brought out a bunch of motorcycles in the 90's. Intersting combinations of hardware (whitworth/metric). I would be prepared to go through ALL of the running gear.
Overtaking is the main problem with LHD cars here so you have that issue with a RHD car ,let me buy it and save yourself the work, lol. Gaz!
There are still lots of NOS mechanical ford parts around if you know where to look for them. I really doubt they had trouble with that back then. As you say, maybe motorcycles and some specific car parts were hard to find. Not regular ford cars.
Im still waiting to find one local for that price, Ill be waiting awhile, sweet car though and seems like a good deal
That is too cool! My dad had a late 70's Rolls Royce a while back he took in on trade to sell that was a right hand drive. You got some crazy looks for sure going down the road! But anyway back on track if it were stateside I'd give that in a minute for it.
