As a few of my friends know, I lost my dad last year & have slowly been sorting, reviving, and selling lots of cars & parts. Not a lot of HAMB worthy cars, but I thought I'd share a couple pictures of the latest sale and show why I haven't been posting much hot rod related material lately. Dad & I bought this 15 years ago, and he'd started a few things on it (mechanical) that never got completed before he died. I decided that I owed it to him to finish all those loose ends before it met it's next owner, and I'm really happy I did. A virtually all original, 106k mile '62 Imperial 1 of 1449 built 1962 Imperial LeBaron The '62 was very reserved compared to the '61 Really nothing like looking over an early 1960's Imperial dashboard. Sold to a real friendly fellow in Sweden, so those of you Swede's that read this may see this car around by next spring. Delivery to Aladdin, in Oakland, CA (highly recommended, BTW). An Imperial fully utilizes my 20' car hauler... And good-bye for the last time...
Good looking car...glad to see it has got a new home. Aladdin have shipped several vehicles on my behalf. Is Kristine the German lady still running it?
Yeah, she sure is...she was a bit aburpt at first, but then showed us around the warehouse. Never seen so many 911 Porsche's in one place before. Along with about 100 other cars awaiting shipment...
i had a guy from there wanting my 69 merc, he was all excited because its a low milage 429 car. we talked off and on and then he had a job change that ended the deal. guess they like these big cars there. wish some one would contact me again wanting her, make'em a helluva deal on her. cool deal todd thats a super sharp car. whitey
So true...the '62 is going, in order to help me focus on reviving this one, which I can't remember ever not having: As I said, the '62 was pretty restrained in comparison... All of these pictures were taken many years ago, right after I started driving my first car, a '63 Olds Super 88. Pretty useless thread, but I needed to share. Strange letting a car go that's been with you that long. Todd
Beautiful car, they will love it in Sweden, I've sent cars overseas, I don't mind one bit because I know what dedication it takes to own a Yank tank over there. I dig your Olds too
Some of the finest big Mopars in the world are in Sweden. When I bought my 58 Chrysler a few years back, the seller told me I was the only American serious about the car - all the other potential buyers were from Europe.
allways nice to hear that a nice car come over to sweden so we can enjoy them on our car exbitions /Stefan
