I have a 1960 buick invicta that either needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Since this steering box seems to be a generic saginaw, I was hoping to replace it. The cost might be less than the rebuild. Of course, the auto houses claim they can't get one, but I'm sure this is a box that was probably used throughout the 60's and early 70's. It would be appreciated if someone could check their hollander book to see if there was an interchange with another GM vehicle. Thanks
RockAuto lists two rebuild kits, an Edelmann for $21.81 and a Gates for $31.53. Look through their online catalogue and you'll probably find other applications that use the same kit.
