Stopped to inquire about a hudson today. I could hardly see it from the road. I said is it for sale? He said yes and no. ? He's storing cars for a guy for about 20 years. The city has now just given him a couple of weeks to get rid of them. He ask me if I want to see them. I said yek yes. He's Location is Omaha, right in town. Called the guy who own's them but he says he won't sell, says he's going to find a new storage place. Kids have got in and done a lot of destruction. Broken windows mostly. Fun to see anyway. More to come. More in the back, I had no idea, 1942 Caddy with a surprise http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c44/hatrules1/DSCF0071.jpghttp://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c44/hatrules1/DSCF0026.jpg More to come
The owner said that Cad motor was a 390 from 1960. It also has a 3 speed I think. I couldn't believe what was in there. I'll post some more. It was only about a 1/2 mile from my house. I'll post more stuff. Damnhttp://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif I'll post more. There is more.
you need to talk to the owner, mabee offer him a hand in moving ?? looks like hge has some cool stuff, that 59 looks pretty good too.
WOW!!!!! That Caddy motor is unbelievable. Thats a shame to let it sit. Someone needs that in their roadster. I think I need it in my roadster.
As for as the Cad motor, I'm tryin. He said he'd let me know if he was going to sell it. You know I'll stay in touch. I'll just have to stay with it. WoW. 1962 Pontiac Gran Prix (windshield broken) bucket seats
Like I said in your other thread: Is the 32' Ford for sale? How about the 36' Roadster? (I know there isn't any in the pictures, but if/when they end up finding one or both in that field, I'm going to be the first in line. )
That Cad Motor is freaking Sweet! How cool would that look with no-rechroming, just clean it all up, paint the block a dark metallic gunmetal grey, toss the pitted chrome back on, and show it off? Im drooling.
Hell that siren is worth 350.00 to 800.00 on ebay,I have sold 2 of them on there, they are worth good money, especialy if it is a Federal brand.
I think I get the most PISSED when people horde stuff for no good god damn reason...All that great Iron DESERVES to be on the ROAD!!
I used to live in Papillion. Wolfe auto wrecking are relatives of mine. Not sure if it's still around or not. I shudder to think of all the old car windows I popped with my BB gun as a kid. I also have relatives in Iowa. There was stuff like that everywhere out there. I think it's time to renew my relations with my distant cousins......
once that guy starts moving all those cars he will see they need much more work than he ever thought. he will have a couple of favorites he wants to keep & the rest he will be DESPERATE to get rid of. --- digging them out, changing tires, moving them around just to load them will be a chore in itself. & if hes under pressure it will be a big hassel! --------------- NICE PICS. FUN TO LOOK AT. THANKS FOR THE PEEK.
HatMan, Cool thread and Cool pictures! I know you're first in line and there's a hundred guys in front of me, but I have a '37 studebaker pickup that that Cad motor would look great in. If it ends up going for sale and you don't end up wanting or needing it, keep me in mind. Thor
Read his avatar. Wants to get into r-- rods... probably figured if he waited for the r--rod heat to die down it'd be safe to ask.
