Greetings H.A.M.B.'ers! I've already gotten some great help here and thought I'd introduce myself and our project. My wife spotted the '50 Chevy tin woody as part of an estate sale up in Salem OR. It's VERY apart but has all good body panels, seats, and wheels. Although it has a freshly rebuilt 216, I'm building up a moderately hod-rodded 235 with dual carbs and exhaust. I'm also swapping out the 3 on the tree for a '54 Powerglide. We're building this one to be a good driver suitable for parades, tours, and picnics.
Other Chevys in our possession include a '58 Impala. '69 El Camino SS-396 and a '96 Caprice with some nice options that came from the Waltrip family in Albuquerque. (They all like to go fast!)
Geographically we're located at the southern end of San Francisco Bay.
Thanks again for all the good info and great help. I'll be in touch!
    Best regards,

    Good intro!

I love these steel "woodies". Looking forward to hearing about and seeing more of your project.

    Welcome Mike!

  3. They are a fun car. We've had a blast in ours.
