Trailing arms With bags

    Hi, there guy building a 51 coupe. Would like to know when bagging the back. Should I put the bags in front or in back of rear end.. Thanks..:cool:

    Depends on how high you want to raise it... they go higher if they are in front of the axle!

    I'm doing the same on my '50 Studebaker. I'm using Slam Specialties SS6 bags in front of the axle. More lift, better ride, plus I can pull my vintage camper much easier without bottoming out.

    in front, but close to the rear end, you'll get more lift depending on how far forward you put them. but more importantly, you'll have a much better ride quality with them in front.

    search 2 link setups... you'll find what you're looking for. Also search Ryno's threads, he's working on a studebaker I think sedan and he installed a nice 2 link setup on it with air.

    here it is...

    Also the 60-72 Chevy pick ups had a 2link set up and they are everywhere in the junkyards depends on how cheap you wanna be!
