Hi everybody. I'm pleased to finally be here. I love hot rods, clowning around, playing little pranks now and then. I like to tell stories and laugh allot. Sometimes when I have a question about a project I'm working on I come to the forums here to search, read and I eventually find an answer. I got to thinking that I oughta start giving a little back to the forums here when I can, if I can rather than just looking for answers from you guys. You guys have helped me allot on my projects over the years and I appreciate it. If I can help you guys in any way I will be pleased to do so. I raced Midgets and Late Model Stocks in the 1960's and 1970's. I'm certainly not a know it all and I don't ever want to come accross that way. I believe Hot Rodding is a life-long learning exprience that is almost a continual changing industry and that keeps the enthusiasm & p***ion going for me. I like the old stuff but at the same time I enjoy learning the new technology and finding ways to impliment new technology in my projects. I admire you young guys so much for your modern engineering abilities and your knowledge. I won't say I'm an "old fart" but when I fart, I fart dust. We're making the T-Bucket with a round seemless tube frame with plenty of saftey built into and around the ****pit including a roll cage; forming the Aluminum sheet metal body & aluminum bed with wood floor; custom polished stainless verticle rod grill mounted in aluminum radiator body-cover; unpainted aluminum body. 4 wheel independent suspension; big & littles; SBC. One of the main things I want in this T Bucket is enough reliability that my wife and I could drive it from one end of Route 66 to the other end trouble-free. I've always liked the AMC "Levi" interior option from back in the day when I bought a special dealership-modified 401 powered "Gremlin XR" from an AMC Dealership in Mesa, Arizona called "Randall AMC". That place was a very important part of hot rodding history. We're doing our T interior in Levi. I better stop my introduction here. It's just that I have such a p***ion for racing and hot rods that when I get started I could go on all day long.
Wow what a great intro! I'm thinkin that your other skill is as a great typist(I'm just jealous). My fingers trip over my thumbs on the keyboard. I'm just past the rotary dial age and I get into trouble here often. Thank you for joining the HAMB.
