What era are you looking for???

The year the car was built ('60)? From the mid 60's?? Late 60's??? The 70's???? Maybe even the 50's?????

Choose one. Depending on when it was built/hot rodder and who was building and cash flow virtually anything in this thread could have landed in it.

if you are looking for something cutting edge from the time period that the car came off the ***embly line a football tach would have been the real deal.

Kinda interesting that it says "Bonneville" on it.

 

Just because it says "Bonneville" on it doesn't make it a Pontiac.

Are the Salt Flats Pontiac?

That Bonneville tach is probably made by dixco .... they did that alot, let other folks put their name on the Dixco brand ... I got one that says Napa, looks the same.

 

it may have had one of these, S&W makes a real authentic copy of these gauges now only with modern movements.

 

Heres a few tachs both from the early 1960 area my 62 Impala and my 55 chevy

 

59 wheel on the 55 ... looks nice, what year was that?

 

Actually many people believe that the sun super tach was a later '60s tach. I have a very early one that has a date code on the back of Febuary '64. But many would argue the point.

 

Bought a Mooneyes half sweep tach brand new off eBay for $65. Has sixties look and does everything a tach is supposed to do.

I had a few tacs like that...

 

SW 765 J tach, date code 1963. Going under the dash in my 30 coupe. 6K RPM range isn't a problem with the nailhead. They were also available in different ranges.

Found at a local swap meet for $20 still in the original box. Required sender took a little more searching.

Mounting bracket is a custom fabrication for the tach and a ****on that will be used as a horn switch. Rolled lip around the edge, heavily textured face and 1 inch sides for looks.

The Honest Charlies Tach is the same as my Mooneyes without the eyes. Ten bucks cheaper on eBay.

 

That look's good, the sweep and angles are very cool.
