A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country. ~~~ Well, there's a very simple answer. ~~~ Nobody bothered to check the oil. ~~~ We just didn't know we were getting low. ~~~ The reason for that is purely geographical. ~~~ Our OIL is located in ~~~ Alaska ~~~ California ~~~ Coastal Florida ~~~ Coastal Louisiana ~~~ Kansas ~~~ Oklahoma ~~~ Pennsylvania and Texas ~~~ ~~~ Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington DC
Pretty good but we have our share of dipsticks here in Alaska They are short ones even tho they seem to think differently. Dawg
So this lady comes into my office in Ventura one day and says "I just came back from a trip to Las Vegas and was wondering why you guys don't drill your oil wells out in the desert where no-one will mind instead of messing up the view from Santa Barbara." Nobody laughed, if you work the oil patch in Ventura thats not funny.
