Around the time I was 7 or 8, I'd spend a lot of time racing my rubber roadsters around the oval rug in our house. Still haven't grown past that I guess.

I found this in some of my Mom's stuff. My brother and I playing with the wind up cars, Christmas 1956.
My old favorites besides models was the Aurora HO slot car tracks.... You could could still buy new A/FX style track sets from Tomy... Ebay is still listing Aurora-A/FX cars and track sets....
If you are ever in the south/central Ohio area near Springfield, OH stop by Grandpa's Garage. It's like an antique mall w/o all the girlie stuff. There are cars (antique, drag, street), motorcycles, car parts, books, magazines, petroliana, and of course toys. http://www.i70grandpasgarage.com/ Marty Marysville, OH
I still build, race, collect slot cars. The bulk of my collection is HO, but I also have 1/32 and 1/24. Auto World sells AFX HO slot cars. They have copied the Magna-Tracion, ThunderJet Tuff-One, and the Magna-Traction 4 gear ch***is. They also have remade a lot of the old AMT and MPC model kits. http://www.autoworldslotcars.com/ Marty Marysville, OH
Thanks Marty! I already have some of the new HO slot cars from Auto World and the 3n'1 AMT kits.. The '62 Cat with the printed tires.. The '25 T coupe and the Double Dragster kit...
Here are a few of mine and after looking at some of the display cases in here thinking maybe I ought to get mine cleaned up! The "Dune Buggy" looking ones are battery operated with a remote wire (tethered) control box. They have lead weights inside the ch***is and when you hit the back ****on and than the front ****on the lead weights roll to the back and they pop wheelies and go forward on their rear slicks! They do this as long as you hold the forward ****on down! "Neat Thread" ...
