I recently picked these up from Patrick's, awesome guy. They're still in paint but they'll be getting coated in a few weeks. I mocked up the drivers side and they fit perfectly with more then enough clearance all the way around. I was nervous to crawl underneath and see what kind of labrynth I would have to route the pipes through but that too was a breeze. I got the driver's side collector and pipe finished last night, I'm connecting it to the existing exhaust. All the new pipe is 2" to fit the flanges that Patrick sent me. The 2" slips in to the 2.25" existing. My '55 has the 265/iron PG with factory everything including motor/****** mounts.

    Bad cell phone pics...

I have a set for my '46 Olds. I know local Ozzie GM made similar split manifolds of its smaller local 6cyl cars similar to US 6cyl Fentons, To really liven it up performance wise, each tube exiting the exhaust manifold had to be a specific length before it merged into a single exhaust. If done correctly you really noted the difference over stock tubing just existing the manifolds.

Those are beyond cool. If the stock exhaust in my '57 ****s out, these will be a definite contender...

Old fella had a set here down the street on a black 56 BelAir hardtop his mother bought new--he installed them about 1959-60 as he recalled. Helped him fire the car after it sat for a long time--sounded normal to me--he has since p***ed on.

  10. I've got them on my truck. They don't sound any different, But they sure look cool!

These were originally used on the Black Widow Nascar racer in 57 and if I recall correctly they did run 4 pipes, heard a restored one running around the Charlotte track about 8 years ago and it had it's own unique sound.

Are the center ports seperated on the inside? Or do they join together as one port on the inside?

Theres a divider that runs from the from the sealing surface to about 1.5" in, then its one big port.

  19. Very nice work! I almost bought some from Patric's last batch. If you didn't have to change the steering, I (and possibly others) would like some measurements of those collectors.

  21. Thanks, I'll PM you. I posted here because I thought other Tri-Fivers might also want to know. Might be a product for Patric too, eh?
