It has bags on it, in 91 I got tired of ripping off the exhaust and put hydraulics on it. I had fun with those, but now I have kids and bags are way safer. Plus it rides like a dream.

    Nice.
Why remove the anodizing, and what does that leave you with?
Thats not a judgement, just want to know, not familiar with that treatment.

If you had told me what you were going to do with this car before you started I'd have said that it wasn't going to work.....and I'd have been wrong. I wouldn't have thought that this car would have worked as a mild custom but it really turned out pretty cool.

How is the rear set up? Did it have coils or leaves?

It has a custom mono leaf a local spring company made me, I did a bridge in the truck when it had hydraulics with coil overs. It left me plenty of room to install the bags. They are sitting on top the rear.

The anodizing is a REALLY tough factory coating that prevents the metal from corrosion. After 40 yrs. It turns yellow and gets milky. Cant be polished. If you remove it, it can be polished again. It really made a difference, The acid used to remove it is nasty stuff though.

Cool car! A buddy had a 64 back in the day that was pure bad ass. Always liked those cars. Love the tail light treatment. Did about the same thing on a 56 Ford I had and used Fairlane taillights.

  15. I like it. I've never seen one done that way.
Mine is a 63 done in a more conventional style

I really like it. Little iffy on the console as well, but I'm not a big fan of consoles to begin with, and, it's not my car. Haha

Good job, have fun cruisin' it.

I am very aware of the bubble hood kind...lol:D, I had one at one time and never put it on. This is my Griswald Family truckster now. I do have a 10 second Mustang for tension releases..

Love the ingenuity that went into the design of the center console. Well done sir!
I keep coming back to this thread and the pics. The car is well thought out, designed, and built. Good Job!!!!

Nice execution! Everything blends to make for good eye, the tail lights are tops. I also haven't got my brain wrapped around the console but the only guy YOU have to IMPRESS is YOU, the rest of us can bite it.

I'm going the other way. I just bought an Econoline beam axle and will probably do a hole in hood instead of a bulge.

My car came with an 87 302/C-4 and the EFI has been removed. Do you know if that was the first year for roller motors? Is there an easy way to tell besides taking the intake off?

    New to Fords but learning,

    Don

I am pretty sure its a roller, and I believe it also has forged pistons, 93 I know they went to hyperutectic pistons. Thanks man
