nice find on the coupe but honestly, i like the '40 better. i know i'm in the very small minority but i've kinda got tired of '32's. go ahead and fire away but that's how i feel. good luck with both.

Jerseymike, I've got 4 40 Ford pkps and only 1 32 but the price is a bit higher for these patina all steel cpes. I am going to sell the chopped 40 pkp... I need the space and the money as well! Just got back from about 20 mile road test in the coupe... man, that thing ****s when you nail it!

Well I am proud for you. It is not everyday that a fellow gets a new car so it is an event for certain. All I can say is this. I wish I had your "new car" and you had a better one. Congrats.

My pal, Bennie, came over to see the 3W and helped move a project 40 pkp so we could back the 3 window into the attached garage for review by the club at tonight's meeting.

That Buick is LOUD in the garage!!

    It was thumpin'!

Bennie kept me from ADDING any patina/sheet metal revisions while backing into the garage.

    Thanks, Ben.

The only problem with your ride is, it's your ride and not my ride.
    Super find, enjoy!

I found out today that a previous owner, Red Stanley in GA, won his cl*** at the NHRA event in Chester, SC on June 29, 1959. It was the same day Don Garlitz got severely burned when blower exploded in the lights at the same event. I also found and called the guy that traded the car to Red... boy was he excited to hear about his old coupe! I plan to take the coupe back to GA in April for a reunion with all the previous owners and others that knew the car well. Should be a blast. Hopefully the Brainerd Optimist Drag strip will let the car back on the track for some more pictures. Some of you saw the car in the Nov 2011 issue of Hot Rod Deluxe. That feature was shot by Gerry Burger at the Brainerd strip.

Researching and do***enting history of a car from over 50 years ago CAN be exciting at times. The old fellow that traded the car to Red was beside himself to hear of his old coupe after so many years. He's coming to the reunion for sure and he is presently working on getting me a phone number for the guy HE bought the car from in 1958. He still knows the guy! I can't believe my luck in finding out about all these previous owners; let alone getting to TALK to them!

Anybody else down GA way remember the car from late 50s until mid 60s?
