I am getting closer to finishing my 47, and i am not sure what kind of bumpers to run. I am looking for suggestions, and the actual bumpers themselves. I bought some 49 Plymouth bumpers, cause my dad had them on his, i am just not that wild about them. The car will be lowered in the back, it is on coil overs, and it was easier to paint this way. It also has skirts for it. I would post pics, but the upload failed. It is a coupe by the way.

I'm in the same boat with my 47. I wondered if the new 47-53 truck bumpers would work? Thought about just going to a junkyard and take measurements on different cars, probably from 40s-mid fifties.

Yeah i have the two plymouth bumpers, that would work, i just don't like them. I think the trucks would work, i am looking for something that would look good custom, the car is looking good, i w just don't know what to finish it off with.

Looks like Auggie did a good job on the paint.

Cadillac bumpers look good on everything.....including a '47 Chevrolet.

I have always liked Pontiac bumbers, but they may be too square.

I thought '47 Chevs had pretty neat bumpers!!!!!

What about late 40's Olds, They were used quite abit.
