    Hey everyone,

I own a 1953 dodge coronet, it was left to me after my grandfather p***ed away. I have childhood memories of this car and now have children of my own....I want this car drivable again.

It has a flathead six and a gyro-matic transmission.

I have had this car running many times before but only to keep it turning over and occasionally rolling down the street....i have never really drove it more than just around the block, other than when it was drove home 10 years ago..... Long story...almost lost the car but i saved it from the auction with estate papers my aunt gave me. That day... i set points, changed oil, filled fliuds and drove it 5 hours home.....parked it.

My new family moved and i got it running well enough to drive it onto the hauler trailer (and around the block a few times...) We we got to our new home i parked it and now have a couple of bucks to put into it.

I need information resources on the fliud drive trans, 3.8l I6, Electrical diagrams...anything....

I have tech problems right now....But ill start a thread in the right sub forum for that

Thx and glad to meet everyone here.

The best favor you can do for yourself and your car is to buy a shop manual. They're available online and at ebay. They answer most of your questions.
