Started in '70 with a 64 chevy sport sedan, then 64 chevelle, 57 Pontiac tilt front end, 69 chevelle SS 396 4-speed, 2-67 GTO's, 1-68, 72 Gremlin w/Factory 304 V-8, 72 Pinto 351 V-8, 72 Chevelle SS, 53 Pontiac, 72 Z-28 w/302 Zapper, plus a slew of parts...got married, and they paid for 3 fine sons, and to help our Orthadontist pay for a BMW Roadster. In 84 gave away my last piece of hardware, a Holley 650 double pumper to a guy who needed it for his 69 Firebird, but didn't have the coin...what I considered a pay-back to some of the older Dudes who helped us out over the years.
Took my middle son to the Cordova Dragstrip (Illinois), and re-kindled the fire, and was pleased to the reaction of my son..the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Looking to get back into, especially now that I have the resources.
Amazed at the availability of parts/vehicles/advice/connections via the internet...better than talking to the guys at the Sunoco or at the 4-way stop on a Saturday night!!
