I can justify upgrades like A/C and air ride in a custom car if they're done tastefully. When you guys put it into your cars, did you make custom controls for it or just use the ones that come in the kit? I know a lot of guys hide things if they're out of place, but on something like gauges and control switches, I'd prefer to have it out in the open, so I'd like for it to work with my interior. Since I want to redo my dash panel, could I find some gauges that'd work and just mount them in the insert? Big round gauges in the middle of the dash take away from the attention a restored/custom gauge panel should get. I like how Vintage Air allows you to use teardrop knobs on their A/C controls. Is there something similar I could do with Air Ride? Main reason I ask is I'm trying to change most if not all my knobs to teardrop, so I'd like to keep everything similar. Just curious how kustom guys on HAMB keep their modern kreature komforts pretty!
I have a Dakota Digital gauge setup, and it's mounted in one of my ashtrays... I can flip it back up and it's out of site... http://www.dakotadigital.com/index....ategory_id=71/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd391.htm as far as controls... you can mount a rocker switch (any kind) where ever you want, then just wire each switch to each corner, or front/back http://www.rockerswitches.net/images/round_rocker_switch_momentary.gif
Check Air Lift, they have a really nice simple manual paddle valve set up. I have used it in a few different cars and it works really well
Are the Air Lift controls any good? I don't think I can justify the cost of the Ride Tech controls. I'm set up with shock mount airbags on all four corners, and I'd appreciate any feedback on what I should use for controls. Thanks
