hey guys and gals, i just recently bought a 1964 ford fairlane 2dr hardtop that is in desperate need of a paint job, i stripping all the chrome off to polish it so it would look better on the new paint. The problem is i cant figure out how the front fender chrome and the fairlane500 emblem come off the front fenders, i can only get to some nuts inside the fenderwell but not all, please tell me that you dont have to remove the front fenders to get to the other nuts, thanks for any advise.

There may be a stiff rubber seal between the cowl and fender to keep crud out[sorta],you may be able to get your hand in there,if not it may be held on with screws. The emblem should just pop out of the tube nuts holing it on. ROY.
