Seems rather whacked out to file a dispute with PayPal over a non-delivered part and then suddenly do an about-face but still claim I don't have the part. I don't understand; why would you do that? If I didn't have the item, I sure as shootin' wouldn't release the funds. Did I maybe miss something in the translation?

  2. It is just drama. One fella was upset and ten the other fella didn't want to be left out so he got upset too. Its kind of like watching 90210.

Anything can and will happen in shipping. Recently I had an impatient buyer's package show delivered, yet it turns out to carrier still had it the next day.

I have shipped soley USPS thru PayPal many, many eBay items. I have left over 40,000 feedbacks since 1999 and received only 20,000 - that tells you something right there about buyers.

    More examples:

Packages delivered, but tracking never updated.

Tracking shows delivered, package never arrived.

Good USA addresses returned undeliverable, then delivered the next time same address. Happened several times.

Good Italy addresses returned undeliverable, then delivered the next time same address. Happened several times.

UK buyers complaining in less than a week no package yet. Happened several times.

I usually print the label same day paid and drop it in the mail the next day - some times the same day shipped as was the case in a recent impatient UK buyer. I find items that sell to a younger audience have the greatest amount of impatient peeps.

Someone metioned SUMMIT - They rock - I ordered the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and had the parts on black Friday. They always ship fast.

All of this is exactly why I have stayed in the dark ages and only sell locally...

99% of shipping/deals on the HAMB and elsewhere for that matter go fine, you just dont hear about them, just the bad ones for the most part:cool:

Just because a check clears in your account only means that you have funds to cover it. It still has to clear at the issuing ins***ution.

I have no dog in this fight but, the original poster said "I think I told him that I would be traveling until end of week and would attempt to send out his goods then."
When I sell something, it is usually in the box ready to go before I even post it. If I get paid immediately, I ship next day, latest.

Read closely. He states that "I think I told him " I was traveling . Truth is we only have one side of the story. I bet the other view is not the same.

Not reading the details of this post, but I've got a buddy who drives for UPS,and the drivers are told to 'sheet" stuff that hasn't been delivered yet, usually by an ***hole supervisor. So it can show delivered even when it hasn't been. Guess it makes their numbers look good. Kinda makes tracking not as accurate as you think, huh.

STATUS UPDATE: - Package delivered to neighbors porch, Neighbor just came over and brought it, All is well. I would like to thank the original poster/seller for throwing me under the bus here on the HAMB.

  16. Actually he didn't throw you under the bus you crawled under there on your own, no one had a clue who you were until you spoke up.

I am ple***ed that you got your parts and that they were not left for the neighborhood dirty no goods to walk off with. It is always good to see something work out for the best.

2 things are needed for a satisfying online sale to happen. communication and patience. both parties need to communicate, buyers need to wait a couple weeks before calling paypal.

I'm thinking both of you were in error on this one.

You called the guy lazy, and a liar (when he said the package was delivered which technically it was)in a post that came across as a rant. You claimed you tried to cancel the transaction after a week of no replies which if you paid him on the 4th is not the truth because that would be today and you have the package. You then call out the OP for throwing you under the bus when in fact he had enough cl*** to NOT mention your name in this thread. It wasn't until you posted with guns blazing that anyone knew it was you.

I am not saying that the OP shouldn't have had better communication with you but he certainly didn't call you out personally on a public forum as you did to him.

Unfortunatly any delivery service is only as good as its worst employee, it only takes one weak link for a chain to break.

I used to be a driver trainer for a national company here in Australia, its amazing the amount of bad drivers that the boss would put on even after the driver trainer ***essed them as incapable. It gets worrying when they put people on that cant even read properly and dont get me started about the dock hands!

    Just my 2 cents
