saginaw rebuild (syncronizer)

    Im rebuilding a Saginaw four speed. Will removing every other synchronizer tooth cause faster shifting? Will it cause gear grinding or damage to the gears. Are there any other tips or tricks out there. Thanks for any help and advice. Jake

    Rebuild it the way it was made, they work just fine as is. If you want to race get something else to abuse.

    Saginaws aren't meant to be punished, that's for sure.

    I was skeptical of the idea and thought I should just do it right, but I sure like to get the most out of what ive got to work with.
