Im looking for any pics and/or ideas of competition style model A sedans, preferable running guards.Ive purchased a nice original A tudor and its gonna be built gasser style similar to the one in the pic.Has anyone got any more pics of this one.Any idea on how much this tudor was chopped? My aim is to retain the back seat and the overal concept is for a streetable combination that will be raced occasionaly.
ive stolen many pics off the net of old hot rods, but this is the only fully fendered gasser style i could find. sorry its a chev. anyway, here ya go.
Yeah Greg,Chrismans A tudor was a beauty,a great looking A.Its amazing what'll fit in that small engine bay with a bit of engine set back.
Falcongeorge,im interested in anything that resembles either an early altered or gasser or even a mean trad street rod thats got some attitude.Im probably gonna run guards and the only thing that is definate is i want it to be a driver and my choice of body is a model A tudor. There's lots of possibilities i guess.Heres a pic of a A tudor nearing completion at Circle City hot rods, theres bound to be some neat ideas on this one if Jimmy White is involved in the build.Lets see what else is out there...
yea, it's a 3 in. chop i was told and i did strectch the chassis because i wanted the wheels in frt. of the radiator
Here's some from Winnipeg, Canada in the mid to late sixties. The Raspberry Racer was very fast. The red 32 (called Candy Apple Box) eventually got ribbon paint and a darker color in the late sixties / early seventies. The body resurfaced about 10 years ago, had the cowl sides replaced and was sold in primer for a few hundred dollars. The purple 32 was called The Grape Crate as it seemed all sedans had a name around here in those days. I remember the 32 on the street when I was young.
