Trying to figure out the correct size to put mid 70's disks on stock 31-32 chevy spindles. Hopefully i state this correctly as to not be confusing... I have the outer bearing figured out so far a A2 will work/fit perfectly. The inner is in question...I have a A13 that fits in the rotor cup size, but the ID of the bearing is to big measuring at 1.377. The spindle where the inner will ride is 1.200 so that's where i'm at. This is close http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/d...=Search_C0055_1035155_2372&pt=C0055&ppt=C0337 This is close, but still to big. Is there a catalog online i can check sizes? Anyone able to look this up for me? The above link will work if the cone bore is 1.200. Worse case is i get a sleeve made to work with the bearing I have. Just looking for something simple.
i'd just go to the O'reilly store and look in the book. if you can't find a perfect fit a bushing is probably the answer

Check with the local bearing store they should be a lot more experienced in matching sizes on tapered bearings as it should be a normal part of their work. If you spend some time on the Timken chart that River1 gave the link to and figure it out you should be able to get the numbers you need though as all bearing numbers for all manufactures should cross with the Timken numbers.
^^Thanks, but it wasn't me that asked the question. I do a lot of numbers checking and seeking out generic parts - here's a tip from me.. Look for the bearing or seal you want on Rockauto.com. This often tells you inner and outer diameter and sometimes a part number that can be cross matched by a local supplier. I just picked up a seal for my steering box this morning supplied locally to dimensions from rockauto.com. I also looked up ford wheel bearings at rockauto and the numbers and dimensions cross reference with the Timken catalog posted above. Same goes for V belts, just buy them by the length from a local bearing/power transmission place. Mart.
The disk brake kit my '37 Chevy has a sleeve for the inner bearing. It does two things, one it adapts the bigger bore bearing to the spindle, the other is space the rotor ***embly out away from the spindle for clearance of the actual brake parts. You might look in to the spacing before going to all the trouble of finding a bearing with the right diameter. I believe mine uses a inner bearing from a Ford and outer bearing from a Chevrolet, rotors from a '73-'79 Camero with matching calipers, and custom made caliper brackets. Joe
