Hey folks glad to join this forum, im stuck in a small town with very few friends into pontiacs, so its difficult for me to get solid ideas and advice, and was hoping for some help. I am a bit of a novice to building a weekend pontiac engine. In the past ive rebuilt 3 engines that remained stock, 2 400s and a 301 **** motor. when it comes to engineering and designing my engine im trying to put in my home work. can anyone advise me as to the cam choice i made for my 62 cast heads. am i in danger of sprk knock issues? is this a good combination? (melling 26204)specs are in my photo album. cam I also have a torker 2 edelbrock aluminum intake with an 800 cfm holley. should i go with a performer instead?? Ive yet to put it together, want to do the research first, open to suggestions THANKS YOU!! Buzz
hi.for intake 61-64 have diffrent intake so not so much to chose from i have same here but other way i have crossram MT for 61-64 but no engine and clearence for hood is not possible without scoop. aftermarket almost none stock intake is good for rpm up to 5500 and dont want to rev stock rods more than these you have the better onses 58-62 rods is better weight is diffrent so the are to go with righ crank. ken
