I've been in the old car hobby for many years but not specifically rodding. But I have always been intrigued by the radical rod and rat rod cars. My old car disease was in remission for about 10 years after selling my '60 Buick Invicta Convertible. But I caught the bug again and recently got a stock '57 Ranchero (except prior owner lowered it). The appeal was the almost total absence of rust in this high desert Ranchero. And I've always liked the '57 Ford car/pickup. A lot of these vehicles are done as rods and resto-mods. I'm a bit torn on which way to go as I dig into the car. Stock? (auction $ are pretty healthy)....Resto-mod with added disc brakes and power steering? (I like to drive my cars!)....Full blown rod in the Bo Huff Panochero style?....(probably not but that is one COOL vehicle). And I'm in no hurry with winter coming as I figure out what the car needs. I'm in the Denver area so feel free to send me a message if you are local and into '57 Fords. Thanks, Bill.
Welcome to the HAMB. Great looking car I would drive the dog %&$* out of it and enjoy it for awhile. Oh. I am into all cool cars just like my dad.
Welcome Bill, I'm a Ford guy with late models but Chevy has been my rod experience. Like'em all anyway. Dave
Welcome from So Cal. Nice looking Ranchero, swing on by the 52-59 Ford group and say hi. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=332
