I'm going to be in NC Christmas week as we are visiting my girlfriend's family. While I was down there I figured I'd see if I can find any parts for my truck that are a little less rotted than up her in New England.

To that end does anyone know of any self-service yard in either the Raliegh-Durham are or the Charlotte area? I'm primarily looking for 1960-1966 Chevv/GMC pickup arts, but any yard with a lot of old tin would be cool to visit.

    Thanks in advance.

They have some truck parts listed, so they probably have more. Thanks for the tip!

There is/was another one on RT 49 , only a few miles from Richards. I haven't been there for a few years and there was talk that the owners were going to crush everything . So it may or may not be there.

There is a smaller yard between Greensboro and Lexington. I don't remember the route number , but its the road that Richard Petty's home town is on.

That would be Old 220 and Level Cross. Not familiar with any yards there though...
